Dane Tyson

Multi-instrumentalist

Dane has been playing bass for over 30 years, with bands including Pittsburgh's Philbroid Studge, Boston's Donneybrook, and Chicago's NRG and Sheela-Na-Gig. In addition to 4- and 5-string bass, Dane plays mandolin, Irish bouzouki, and oud (the last with the University of Chicago's Middle Eastern Music Ensemble).

My old 410-based rig was a back trauma waiting to happen. A pair of Jorg's 1210's gives me exactly the sound and flexibility I've been looking for. Great bottom from the 12's, extraordinary cutting power from the 10's. For smaller gigs, I can mate one Schroeder 1210 with my Eden WT-400 for great sound and great portability. For larger venues, the pair of 1210's matches up perfectly with my larger QSC PLX2402 / BBE Bmax rig
