Erik Lars Hansen
Freelance Bassist and Band Leader
Erik plays his Hatchez acoustic and Eminence upright electric bass in a variety of jazz settings, including duos and trios, a two-horn sextet, a 1930's big band, and modern big bands. In addition, he leads a three-horn pop, rock and party band using his Kubicki bass guitar. Groups and artists he has performed with include The Blue Rhythm Jazz Orchestra, the Chris Walden Big Band, Joel Penner Sextet, Que Pasa, Southern California Jazz Company, Swing Syndicate, Tierney Sutton and Dianne Elder.
I love my 1212 cabinet. It is equally suited for use with my uprights, and sounds great played softly or with some real volume. It provides a very full and natural sound that is not colored or full of bumps like many speaker cabinets designed for bass guitar. For bass guitar, the 1212 is equally amazing this single, compact and reasonably light cabinet provides all of the volume I will ever need to play any size room without PA support. It sounds wonderful driven by either my Walter Woods Ultra or Acoustic Image Focus 1R.
Thanks Jorg for designing the perfect cabinet for the working bassist.
